Guys,

I need to replace the left crankcase oil drain bolt. The manual state, it's a M8 x 1.25. I am only able to find a M10 x 1.25 online, which is for the right side according to the manual.

Any suggestions where to order this oil drain bolt?

Thanks

That bike has two oil drain bolts. They are both M8 thread which means that they have an M10 hex head on them. The thread size isn't the same as the socket size. One bolt is on the left, it's kind of tucked behind the breather hose directly down from the oil fill cap. The other bolt is on the right side under the break pedal tucked behind the frame. Hope that helps.

The head of the both the bolts in question is 12mm.  The Yamaha part number for the left side forward drain plug is 95814-08016-00.  It's an M8x1.25 ISO thread with a flanged hex head, 16mm long.

The Yamaha part number for the right rearward drain plug is 95022-10016-00.  That's an M10x1.5 ISO thread with a flanged hex head, also 16mm long.
