So I have a 99 yz400f and I am thinking about wrapping the exhaust cuz I don't want to burn my leg or boots! The bike seems to run really hot even after rejetting and cleaning the carb and I was wondering if this was a good idea or if it would be a waste of Money or be bad for the bike. Thanks! Exhaust wrap will help prevent burns, but has no other benefits, and generally will not affect the bike either way.

Ok that's kinda what I heard on other websites. Any tips on applying or brand choice?

You can get it at auto zone. Just use hose clamps on each end to secure it and maybe some safety wire here and there.
