A friend of mine is selling a bike just isn't sure what cc it is is there a way to find out.? Ino it's a 4 stroke so 250 or 450 ? ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1401921366.583066.jpg .

The cc's are stamped on the side of the head.

Looks to me like a 250F but certainly look on the side of the engine for the displacement as the previous poster has suggested. A clear shot of just the engine (not from an angle) might help too.

Check the engine as well as the vin.
But does look like a 250

I wouldn't buy a bike from a person that doesn't even know what size his bike is....

It's an '01-'02 YZ250F.  The water pump is a giveaway.   The fact that it has a manual decompression setup on it means that it's not an '03 or later.
