Hey guys can anyone help I have a 07wr450 the motor was destroyed when 5th gear let go can anyone help me out where to get a new secondhand engine if not will a yz450 engine fit with a few mods? Any help would be great thanks

Yz 450 is basically the same engine, was geared different for MX.
So yes direct bolt.

Look on ebay for a an engine or rebuild what you have.

 

The yz may not be a good idea unless you put in the wire harness and CDI box. No elect. start with the yz.

If you change motors, you have to change harnesses too.

 

If you look on ebay for WR parts, you will find the same few salvage yards selling.

Call them up and have them look for a WR motor.

Cheers guys I tried everywhere including ebay usa just can't seem to find a 07 wr motor theres plenty on 05 wr a yz stuff

I know the 04 YZ250 2T motors have some fitment issues into 05+ YZ aluminum frames. So I wouldn't spring for a steel frame YZ or even a WR motor just yet. Also those year YZ450's were 4-spd trannies.
