The engines in these WR's last a long time compared to a Honda CR

I have a friend with a CR and he has to adjust the valves at least every season

The bike I have is a 2006 WR450 with about 2,000 miles on it

I just popped the valve cover off and measured the valve clearance and they are all within spec!

.....After 8 years and over 2,000 miles I think its incredible

Esp when you compare this against any CR Honda !!!

The WR450 motor is the most reliable motor on the market.  Not just saying that.  I own a 2013 KTM 500EXC and had a Honda 450R.  My 03 WR has over 10K on it and all I have done is adjust the valves and few times.  I will say the starting motor and the electric system is weak, but I have learn to overcome those issues.  BTW you don't have to yank the sub frame back when you pull the carb, like you do on the Hondas.

By far the most durable..... But also vibrate more and rev slower.
