Well apparently I can't add photos on here from my phone. B.s..... its a little screw with a o ring on one side. It fell out after I freed the seal and dumped the oil

A picture would really help. The only screws with o rings I can think of are in the carburetor. Is it possible you or the Po could have dropped something in there by mistake?

could one of the air bleeder skrews on top of the fork gotten in there?
