XR680R Electric start only... Battery questions..

Jaybo, I sent you an answer to your PM before reading this thread. I'm quite sure my high compression ratio is the biggest hurtle for starting my NX650 motor. Don't know the design caricaturist of the BD starter but it doesn't matter what size 12v battery or jumper battery the XR650l starter doesn't have permanent magnet poles so when voltage is supplied too start a large percentage of current is used to energize magnet coils than the remainder for rotation. I believe that the size batteries I used are not needed and two smaller batteries as Mastear210 uses may work just fine.

 

None of this matters if you charging voltage isn't high enough, need to check it first thing.  24v system works for me....... ?
