I'm picking up an 07 this weekend. It is mostly stock with a Big Gun E2 slip on. From what I've read these bikes are pretty corked up with the stock exhaust. I realize a full exhaust would be superior to the slip on, but I'm wondering if the slip on is an improvement over stock? would this perform close to what a stock 06 would? Thanks!!

The '08-and '09 were "corked up", not so the '07.   For as quiet as it was (however quiet that is), they were a really good exhaust system.  The '07 system added to an '08 is worth a fat 6 HP at 5000 RPM, where the '08 sags.

I wouldn't bet much on the E2 slip-on improving it very much.
