Extended coverage skid plate or water pump guard?

Which would give me better protection?  A regular skid plate and a seperate water pump guard or a full coverage skid plate.

I have a 2012 yz450 and have the devol skid plate. Works good covers bottom of water pump. I would buy it again.

Light speed carbon fiber. Light, tough, good protection, and looks good.
