Does anyone have any more info about this or know what it is specifically related to? Is it just a bad chain that they are putting on these bikes?

Well, YZ chains have never been good for much more than riding the new bike up the driveway once, but this is a little different.

It apparently is nothing more than a flaky master link.  If there was an interference issue, they wouldn't just be replacing the link.
