I do a lot of dessert and sand riding and want to easily change rear wheels verse changing the tire each time i go riding.

Has anyone put 19" 2.15 rear wheel on on a WR450F?  Not only will this make changes easier, but I have a lot more selection for paddle tires in 19" size verse 18".

Thanks

Whether anyone has or not, there's no reason why you couldn't.

I've got a 19" rear tire on my 01 wr426. No difference at all... As long as your knobbies/ paddles aren't rubbing swingarm, chain, or fender I'd say swap it. I'm looking at going down to 17's on mine

If you are looking for an OEM 19'' rear, the 06 thru 08 YZ450 (maybe earlier years as well) will fit. Yamaha went to the larger 25mm axel in 09...if I'm not mistaken.

They did in fact.  '09 and onward are 25mm axles.  '08 and earlier YZ/YZF rears are identical to your rear wheel except for the 19" rim.  Might have to use your spacers, but they fit.
