could a burnt up clutch cause bike to stall

could a burnt clutch cause a bike to stall in neutral? my bike dies as soon as i let the clutch out in neutral

Not exactly... You could have to adjust the cable, because maybe the clutch still is engagaing in nuetral. Can you ride it fine and shift fine?

it shifts fine i noticed a problem when it started to stall mid air while jumping went back to the truck and it would start and run fine as long as i had the clutch in as soon as i release it bike dies and it in neutral

If it's truly in neutral it won't stall..   I'd say that ya got something bound up  in there.. Prolly between the clutch and tranny.  Pull the cover and look.

should not ever stall from being in neutral regardless of clutch condition

One more thing, when started will it do this when in gear?

found out that the guy i bought the bike from installed a works clutch perch and he ran the kill switch wires under the claps so they were smashed and when i would let go of the clutch it would short the switch causing all the problems. still glade i took my clutch apart because the steel plates were toast. thanks for the inpute
