I got a few more items that needed to be done crossed off the list, I got the cool reservoir in it's final spot, the kill switch and key all wired in, the new HD stator and cover in and back on but I over filled it with oil so now I have to get a QT of oil out, the front turn signal brackets are done and being painted and the battery is strapped in.
This is the way I had the tank the first time but it was in the wheel area too much.
After some trial and error I got it mounted more on the outside. I had some spacers from my truck tool box that came in handy.

I got the front turn signals mounted and relocated the key so I can use the bar pad. Just some more wiring, the tires and getting the new sprockets and chain on. Then I can go get the inspection, send the paper work in and wait for the plate to come back with the new title.

Just a few more things then I can go for the inspection. I changed my first tire and took about 45 minutes so I thought that was pretty good for the first one but when I when to air the tire up I heard a hiss I have to do a new tube.

Here's the full details.

A few guys have asked what I have used to get it ready to become street legal. If your in PA there's a link to the form but if you're in another state your state should have a similar form to use and they should give you a list of inspection stations to get it inspected in your area. I have called the guys I'm using a few times just to get some clarification on what I can do.

This is what I did to get it street legal.
This is the form I need to fill out once I'm all done and keep all your receipts that you spent on the parts for the bike. http://www.dmv.state....ms/mv-426b.pdf
Inspection stations in PA that do the inspections since they have to be set up to handle the conversion. http://www.dmv.state...cedstations.pdf

The stator with a floated ground added to it by them. http://www.steahlyof....ng-stator.html

The light kit, the Baja key, Polisport head light and I went with a TUSK horn since it was easier to mount than the DRC one. http://www.motostran....d45-70-051.htm http://www.motostran....-p/05-9168.htm http://www.motostran....-p/64-6921.htm

The tires are 90/90-21 (54V) Continental Trail Attack-Front Dual Sport Motorcycle Tire and 110/80-19 (59V) Continental Trail Attack-Front Dual Sport Motorcycle Tire

I went with the WR coolant tank and parts that I got off rockymountain since I didn't want to mess with making my own coolant over flow bottle and have it leak.

I went with the trail tech battery and regulator rectifier since I planned on charging the battery with the bike and a battery tender. http://www.amazon.co....?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.co....?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Trail Tech Vapor and mount. I had to add a little peice of aluminum to get the two to work. Now looking at it looks like I ordered the work one, I just saw it says voyager not vapor. http://www.ebay.com/....0e8f98&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/....S:3160&vxp=mtr

I would recommend for a kick stand the pro moto since it's much better than the trail tech. http://www.ebay.com/....4d7b2b&vxp=mtr

I got two cheap mirrors for the bike since I rather have more than not enough when I go to get the enhanced inspection and submitting the paper work. You want to make it easy for them to say yes so the more info you have the better off you are.

One thing I haven't done is a chain guard that I plan on making out of sheet metal then painting it black. I'm not going to keep it on the bike but just to make it look like I have a good one on the bike.

The tires are mounted and what a bitch the rear was to do but I was happy there were no leaks when I pumped the tube up.

I got her all finished but I was having a spark issue earlier so couldn't take her for a spin but I got the spark issue taken care of so hopefully she'll fire right up now and I can still get her inspected this week.

Thanks and with moving I wasn't expecting it to take 5 months to get this far but I'm really looking forward to being able to ride it on the street with out worrying about anything.

I got the inspection done today and sent the paper work into the state. Lets hope they get some really good coffee so they can process it quicker than 6-8 weeks.

I also finally got the super moto front fender on yesterday and it looks pretty cool.

I came home for work and my new title was waiting for me, I was surprised it only took a little more than 3 weeks for them to process the paperwork. Now I just need to wait for the plate and get the inspection sticker, then I'm good for the road.

The states timing sucks cause it would have been nice to have it for my first ride, I got a message at home yesterday that my plate was in but I can't complain cause I was expecting to wait 6-8 weeks when it took them a little less than a month to send everything back.

One of the things they made me get is a separate light for the license plate but the stupid thing kept falling off. So I think I finally got it this time, I sandwiched between the fender and light, then caulked it in to keep it from popping out. So hopefully it stays put for good now.

I went for a ride with my friend Dan, his son JD and his friend Garber. Wow I wasn't expecting it to be one of the hardest rides ever since it was the first ride on the YZ and 3rd time on a bike in a few years. First we hit a little single track and I wasn't ready for it so I was exhausted with in the first minute. Then we went down the road for a little bit and I got some of my wind back and then we did another single track that went up the mountain. We stopped a few times and by the top I had a little better grasp of what I needed to do to keep on going. We made it most of the way to 61 and turned back cause JDs ktm 85 was getting low on gas but on the way back we hit another little single track but by this time I was much better except for running out of energy every little bit. We made it back to the truck to refuel and then head back out but I only made it a little bit before I was done with the arm pump. Even though I was exhausted and I'm still sore today I was happy with how much I picked up riding single track with the bike. Here are some pictures and two little videos of Dan and JD hitting a little vertical wall. I didn't use the go pro since I didn't want to bore anyone with how much I sucked half the day lol.
