Suspension?

Will the suspension off an 03 yz450f work on a 98 yz400f?? I found a flat track set up for an 03 450 and wanted to know it it will work in my 98 400?? Thanks in advance!!

I'm reasonably certain that the forks will work.  The shock may not, but shouldn't be too far off.  At worst, the forks should slip into the '98 clamps, but the whole assembly should just fit right up to the frame.

I think your right, I know the forks and shock off a 01 yz250 2 stroke fit a 03 yz450 fine and i'm pretty sure the yz400's and 426 had the same stuff as the 250.

Update!!.. Both front forks and rear shock fit without issue. So yes 03 yz450f suspension will fit a 98 yz400f. The new suspension was done by baughner racing, set up and lowered for flat track, stiffend up the bike and brought it 3 1/4" closer to the ground
