I have a feeling this subject has been discussed on here before and we are probably just minutes away before someone rides up and advises you to give the search function a try. That said, it's a really good idea.
If noise is an issue - which it might be if you're riding on public land and not purely on a track - look into a quieter pipe, like an FMF Megabomb or Powerbomb and Q4 muffler (or just the Q4 slip-on). That's probably one of the best combinations out there for keeping the noise down (still louder than stock) and giving you a little more power across the RPM range. That's one option I'm looking at right now, however, I haven't really found myself needing the extra 1 horsepower it's likely to provide and I kind of like the stealth factor that the stock pipe with the GYTR insert offers. However, the snappier throttle response and faster revving that comes from allowing the engine to breathe easier with an aftermarket pipe are the best benefits for me.
Otherwise, if you're going to go loud (i.e. most other pipes out there), they will pretty much all feel about the same, unless you can really sense tiny differences in horsepower and powerbands.

I wouldn't bother with the Megabomb or Powerbomb headers as the stock 12+ WR450 already has a header with this design that is aimed at adding low end power. A Q4 muffler is a great option. The stock muffler is so choked up that virtually any aftermarket muffler will ad quite a bit to throttle response and upping the power across the board. I am running an FMF Core 4 with the quiet spark arrestor insert and it's great. Without the quiet insert it was just too loud.
Don't overlook the performance ECU and shorter throttle stop either if you get a different exhaust.

I knew I should've done a search for this stuff but I was tired and it was late. Also, any other searches I've done never had anything on the 2014 wr so I figured what the heck.
I've already looked into the new throttle stop and ECM, just need to pull the trigger on it. Now I'll mull over the input here and add the pipe to the shopping list!
Thanks again for the input everyone!

2012-2014 is same bike, so same pipe fits all.

I ride on single track as well as commute on my bike.
I'd like a little more power out of it for the road so I can change gearing without sacrificing too much.
Does the Powerbomb give any gains over the stock header?
Does the Megabomb move the power too low in the RPM range to be usable above 55mph?
Jesus I might regret the next question but.... Would the YZ exhaust cam be a better option or would it decrease reliability?

I have already played with a few. The MX map, Aussie, etc.
What a fascinating question.
I wonder if trying different FI maps first might be worth the minimal time and effort - most of the 12+ guys swear by it...
Adding power and tuning it are two different things.... unless your being facetious.
If you are, please just let people answer the questions.

Great! I ordered the yosh rs4 and it had to slide into the head pipe. Weighed as much as the stock exhaust.
I sent it back.
The Yoshi is lighter than stock, more power than the FMF, and will last very long, since it is built thicker, drawn metals, heat treated, etc.
The FMF 4.1+ PB header, which I have, is not built all that well, and is kind of cheap. No drawn fittings, just cold pressed thin SSteel and Welded Aluminum sheet.... But it's half the price of a full Yosh.
The Pro Cirucit is the way to go for top quality and the widest powerband.....but you pay for it.
