KX250f no spark HELP!

Recommended Posts

Get a multimeter from harbor freight for like $3 then start testing wires that go into the stator or inside stator cover. I had the same problem with my 09 and found a short in one of the wires inside the stator cover before the magnet so I cut out the short and soldered the wire back together (also got solder gun from harbor freight for like $5) then I used some jb weld to cover up the solder to protect it from oil. Bike got a spark and started right up and runs good now, I race a lot so I know the method is pretty solid. Or you could buy a whole new stator, coil, harness or cdi without knowing what the problem is and spend about a G and find out later it could have been as simple as a little short
