$130 for a radiator shroud? Each?

I like the sublimated graphics, but I probably won't be replacing them with OEM parts when needed. Crazy.

The suggested retail is around 186.  Your getting a smoking deal there buddy!

 

Same thing happened in late 2009 for the 2010 YZ 450.  They will come down as others get into the fray of making plastic.....

Ha. I didn't even think about the 'deal' I was looking at. I kind of take for granted the prices you get there.

 

If you own a Yamaha and you don't order your OEM parts from YamahaSportsPlaza.com, then you are probably much faster than me and get your stuff for free.

It's all about the graphics.  The plastics themselves for the '06-'09 bikes aren't very much more expensive than good aftermarket stuff, if at all, and of course the fit and quality are as good as is available.  But the shroud graphics are about $100....each side.

 

The current shrouds would likely be much more reasonably priced without the embedded graphics.

My YZ450F was officially classed as beyond economical repair after it got dumped off my trailer on to the motorway at about 60 mph when we were rammed by a drunk driver. Pricing up the parts at OEM catalogue prices soon took things beyond 70% of the value of the bike. Thank goodness for Acerbis, Polisport and Ebay (not forgetting an acquaintance from the USA visiting me on the way to the Isle of Man TT)!
