2008 TE250 reliable and easy to maintain?

Recommended Posts

Over the winter I'll get all this stuff done. .. so on the rad hoses...is there a 2010 kit for all of them? And on the crossover what size is that line..everything 'custom' will need to be sourced from the US or ill have to increase my Korean language skills more... just finding some clear plastic tubing was a pain in the ass once...

I'll have to check on the crossover hose. I think it was 1/2" or 3/8" I.D. and only a few inches long.

2010 TC 250 radiator hose is a single piece octopus looking thing. This is the cheapest fix for  the "T" in the cooling system. "T" is located on the left of the bike behind the radiator. The "best fix" for the "T" (cheap plastic fitting) is the "Y" (aluminum) from Uptite Racing.  It'll all make sense once you see the bike.

JD tuner works on the 250 as well and gives more power everywhere on a stock bike. If the bike been programmed via IBeat from the dealer or previous owner then not much will change.

Uptite doesn't make the Y anymore. The cross over hose is not needed if you do the "Y" or TC kit but replacing the clamps with real hose clamps helps.

Power up kit for that year was an arrow slip on muffler and the o2 eliminator. This would put the ECU into "race" mode. In addition you need to remove the throttle stop and set the tps via IBeat.

On some bikes the fuel pump would move and disconnect the power and incorrect low fuel readings. To fix remove the pump from the tank and add extra Ty wrap. Go to cafehusky.com for complete info. Easy to do but not all bikes had this problem.
