Exhaust Question

Any kind souls can enlighten me...

Can a WR450 stock stainless steel exhaust be fitted on a 98 WR400??? Getting sick and tired of spraying the rusty stock exhaust of the WR4...

I don't think so. I have a '01 WR426 with an E-series exhaust and an '04 wr450. I tried the E exhaust on the 450 and it wouldn't fit so I assume the stocker won't either. Mounting points are in a different location. I know White Bros calls out a different part # for the 450 exhaust.

I had a stainless muffler from an 01 426 on my 99 WR400 and it bolted right up.

But the 426 stainless steel ones are with pencil hole... Not like the stock WR4 exhaust that got removable end...

The 400/426's are interchangable. Not the 450. It has a different mounting location.

The US version has the removeable baffle. 01&02 are stainless and will bolt right up.

I believe that even though the mounting ocations is different the 450 exhaust will work. I seem to remember reading that you can get the mounting brackets from your dealer.
