My 2012 I just bought was sale priced at $5790. After taxes and some of the fees reduced I got mine for a little over 7K OTD. My buddy thought that was a great deal considering they MSRP for almost $8100 before taxes and fees. I watched these bikes for almost a year and within 400 miles of my house it was the lowest price I could find.

Got mine for $6199 before fees and taxes. I thought it was an excellent deal. Just about $7100 out the door. I'm pretty happy with that.

Here in northern IL before I bought my bike I was shopping leftover 2012s (I ended up buying a like new used one from a private party). The two best deals around that I could find were within $100. I was looking at $7000-7100 OTD (this includes tax at 6.5%. I mention this because I've noticed a lot of people do not properly use the term "out the door).

After conversations I had with the dealers along with research online I was pretty confident they wouldn't sell for much less unless the dealer decided they were willing to give them away or lose money.

Thanks man. Yeah, i agree, my idea of otd includes everything, including tax. Those r great prices. Im gonna shoot for low 7000's then.

I just picked mine up in CA. Last weekend for $6900 otd. Plus I received a $200 off gytr accessories coupon in the mail. I must have received it by signing up on the yamaha web site.

Paid $6548 OTD a couple months ago. It was out of state, so no taxes or fees.

You didn't have to ship or pay your state taxes when you registered it in state?

Smokey Point Cycle Barn. It was the last one. I know RIDE motorsports has one left but they wouldn't match that price when I went in there and tried selling me one for 8400 OTD. I think there was one in Auburn at Hinshaws for 6100 before taxes. I looked on cycle trader to decide who had them.

I bought the last '12 from Hinshaw's (at the time, they found more from Yamaha) on sale for $6900. I didn't think to ask how much they wanted for the '12 that was on the floor last time I was there. I don't recall my OTD price off the top of my head as I had a trade-in as well, but just doing the rough math in my head I think that would around $8K OTD?

Yeah that kinda sucks for me as I could have saved a few bucks, but oh well. I still got a good deal, just not a great one, and I've been riding my bike a few months now. It's a great deal for someone else though! I know Hinshaw's sold out their initial allotment, and got these extras from Yamaha, so they're into them less than their initial bikes, hence the better price on these.

It was an hour and a half drive to pick it up at the dealer. I have not paid any sales tax or registered it in my state. Maryland dosent provide legal places to ride so theres no point, at least until I choose to make it street legal.

Sorry guys, I've been too busy playing around with my newly purchased 2012 450. I ended up getting mine for 7400 otd...everything included. There were a few dealerships around me that had leftovers as well, but they were all coming in a few hundred more. Im veryhappy with the price i received and they delivered it about 20 miles for me for free as well. Thanks for everyone's help.

I shopped hard and low $7K appears to be a good buy. Taxes of 7.5 and 8.2% were killing me.
Found a used 2012 for $4600 and shipped it in, even with shipping it was a better buy.
