Hot Start Circuit question

I have a 2001 426 and read that Yamaha has "improved" the hot start circuit on the 2002 model. Does anyone know if the 2001 can be updated to the 2002 spec? The mags report that the new bike is easier to start hot.

I read that they increased the size of the hole in the carb to allow more air to flow for hot starting. The best you may be able to do is buy the Dr.D hot start kit that moves the button to the right side of the handlebar. It replaces the button on the carb and also the clamp on the front brake lever mount.

Once I found out about the Ty Davis Hot Start and how they worked I know I could drill my 01 out a little. (if your good)
