Hello everyone, so not doing the TT fixes in time finally caught up to me and my stator got destroyed when 3 out of the 6 starter clutch bolts sheared and the rest where loose. Anyhow I got everything replaced with 12.9 grade bolts and a Ricky stator. I'll try to make a new thread soon with a lot of images so people have yet another reason to do the fixes,

the 3 questions I have are:

1. Do I need to use loctite on the nut that holds the flywheel in place?
2. can I tighten it using an impact wrench? (I had ro remove the flywheel to get better access to remove the sheared bolts)
3. If the answer to 2 is no then what is the recommended toque spec on the flywheel NUT?

Every fastener that rotates gets thread lock.
Any critical fastener gets thread lock or a mechanical lock.
Any fastener that has shown a propensity to loosen due to vibration gets thread lock.

So yes, the flywheel retaining nut gets thread lock, a drop of medium strength will do just fine.

Thanks guys, just installed my flywheel back on, now I have one more thing I'm confused about the spacers in the idler gear, just to be clear, there should NOT be a washer between the gear and the CASE, right? just the washer that sits on the backside between the gear and the snap ring. So from back to front it should be snap ring-washer-gear-case?
