Spark Arrestor

Recommended Posts

Ok so I got 2 mx bikes that I ride GNCC style courses with... I need spark arresters for both of them temporarily for now until I can afford the whole silencer for the 2003 KTM 250sx and the exhaust system for the 2011 YZ450.

Will the GYTR spark Arrestor for the 2011 YZ450 work with the stock exhaust system?

Or am I going to have to fabricate my own spark arresters?

I don't feel like spending over $150 for a end cap that could buy a whole silencer for the 2stroke!

I need a cheap TEMPORARY solution for one event with both bikes.

I know this year at the Nat'l Enduro in Concho TX, there were guys with just screens wrapped around the end of their can with duct tape wrapped around it holding it on.

This is what i had to do to my friends pipe at silver lake. The only motorcycle shop only had one spark arrestor, and we couldnt fit it in his pipe anywhere, so after three hours in the parking lot we were getting ready to leave (its almost a 4 hour drive up there). Then i did this and the DNR laughed at us and then let us through. I took this picture after we were done riding.
