OP said they were just walking down the street looking for something to steal, not pro bike thieves. Why would put in the effort to put up a security camera and not lock your steering. Hate to say this but based on your apparent lack of common sense and poor English skillz you should seriously consider stop wasting your parents tuition money and go find a job at Wal-mart.

Ok

<p>You dont have to be a pro to break a steering lock Ive seen a guy do it with just his body within seconds.

The camera wasnt for the bike. It was installed for the security of the house. And based on your comment, you should seriously get the facts right before making assumptions. I bought the bike with my own money through hard work. My parents dont pay for my college tuitions as I get scholarships to cover everything.
Dont comment on peoples posts without knowing a thing or two. I bet you dont even ride.

So did you recover the bike, or is your recent post the latest news? Did you get the police involved?

There is no possible way to recover the bike since it was stripped to pieces. Also I doubt the dude has all the parts still available. I didnt get the police involved yet. At the moment Im trying to find out where he keeps all the parts. If its accessible, the dudes going to wake up one day with an empty storage.
If not, then im going to call the cops on the spot.

&%$#@!. Call the cops ASAP. You breaking into someone else's garage, to steal back your unidentifiable bike parts is a tough sell to the cops when you're sitting in the back of a cop car.

I agree man, don't take the law into your hands even though it's tempting. What if something went wrong and you get jumped, etc. Not worth it

I dont have the balls to do it :D I guess its just rage talk. I dont want to call the cops yet. But I did let my dads friend know who is a police officer. He's the one who I will be calling when I find the dudes storage. And besides, Im traveling to malaysia in a week and wont be back before college starts. The cops will be notified a day or two before I leave.

I don't understand your train of thought. Why the hell wouldn't you call the police now? What if they need you to ID some stuff?

I mean, I don't care what you do. Just most (read: all) people would call the police ASAP. I don't know if you watch the news, but the police aren't exactly the fastest in solving crimes...

Bs, I don't believe this, got all this and not calling the cops? This story isn't adding up, this maybe a vendetta, an insurance scam or something, but your story isn't adding up. By contacting they guy you've given him ample time to destroy evidence and went from being able to catch him red handed to now basically getting yourself thrown in jail for nearly the same thing that was done to you.

Sorry I call bs or your not telling the whole story, something isn't right. But good luck to you, I don't care either way.
