Hey guys I am looking at buying a 08 wr250x and the owner has what I would call adventure tires on it now. I want to go to something a little more knobby, but would still like to switch back to the current tires. I have a scrapped 05 crf250x and have a set of its stock rims. Is there anyway to make them fit the wr? My plan would be to buy a set of knobby tires for the crf rims and keep the wrx rims with current tires and switch them when I feel the need to do more serious off roading.

You probably realize that it's illegal to run knobby tires on a public road in every state , as far as I know .

I know they love to give tickets for that around here .

I mean more of a dual purpose tire then the one in the picture that's on the bike now. Can I simply change the hubs on the crf rim and use those if the wrx?

First image is the Honda and the second is the Yamaha . They Look to be similar . You have both . I'd take a couple measurements ( width ; axle size ) , look for any other differences like rotor size and if those are similar , I'd try fitting the Honda wheel in place of the Yamaha wheel . That should give you a definitive answer without any speculation on anyone's part .
