I was going to argue with this, but I can't.  I will say that I know guys that bought nice things, didn't abuse them, and decided that it was not their cup of tea.  But I have to admit that I would not pay $6,000 for a used 2013 MX bike.  But, I might pay $5,000 from a smart adult.  But I guess that's 40%.

Totally agree with you my man, there are some guys out there that do maintain there bikes. Like us for example. But you just never know. There is no way every bike in the world is just freshly rebuilt with less than 10 hrs on it, never raced and only trail ridden. I rather race bikes, cause those are the guys who know what they're bikes are worth and they took care of them.

700 more than you're asking I get a brand new bike, probably with a warranty of some sort.

If I wanted a bike for my kid and I was in your area I'd probably buy something like this and put $1k-$1200 into, end up with a bike I KNOW because I've gone through it end to end.

Assuming of course he could provide title or notarized bill of sale
