It was sure nice of Honda to add a spot where you could pick up the bike from the seat...but gesh, every time I start to pick my bike up that way I feel like I am going to rip the seat right off!  I usually just grab the fender and pick it up at that point.  Anyone else experience this problem with the seat?  What is the solution to fix it?

Take a good look at the fender. Honda made it thicker and stronger right where you need to grab it to pick it up. Its ok, just grab the fender.

to lift it on a stand for example, i get on the right side of the bike,
grab the rear fender with my left hand, and the right hand under the main frame,
right under the top engine mount . and just pull it up and then push it with my knee

i have seen many people struggling with that, lol

ya, that is what i have been doing but usually after instinctively grabbing under the seat first.  It sucks that Honda added this only to find that it is not usable.

thats not y honda added that, it was "added" for air flow to the filter, if honda added it to pick the bike up and place on a stand the subframe would run above it to allow something solid to grab and pick up on.....Honda did make the rear fender thicker to be able to pick it up tho...Your just putting a bike on the stand, find a good spot pick the bike up and swing it on the stand
