This looks incredible so far. Nice touch on the black valve cover and the blue timing covers. I also like the white fender. Where did you get the radiator braces? Can't wait to see this when its done

The braces are "unibiker" and im not impressed what a pain to put on. Especially with the over sized radiators! Also then your cables dont run right and its very tight when u can get them through. Had to cut the left side one to accommodate the oil line. Instructions said to add washers to clear oil line....... Really?! I hope this thing turns out all right....

Good to know. Reason I ask is because I also have an oversized radiator and I couldn't find anything that fits. Did you do any top end work on this bike and if so what brand parts did you end up with the major components? That's next on my bike. Good luck!

No the bike has been sitting in a barn from 08 to 11 when i got it and iv had it torn down for seance then. The motor was solid found a few bearings starting to go so i replaced them. Had to get a set of hot cams and i took the compression release and slammed it in the trash!

Those radiator braces are a pain to put on but im confident if i wreck bad they will still be intact.( for what thats worth)

Ok so i got my wheels mounted to new Dunlop's yesterday stayed up and got the bike together and put some engine ice in it and the seals on the solid pieces that go in the engine were leaking luckily i had extra ones. Get that done then put some fuel in it and the seals in the petcock had dried out.... So drain the fuel luckily i have extra seals for that also... But this time I'm just about over it. So i get it started and take her a spin.... And wow how i have missed this lil devil. Took and short ride put it in the garage and engine ice is dripping out everywhere couldn't pin point it. So i ordered new seals for the radiator pieces. Now this radiator came with a 1.1 cap. And its an over sized radiator. Went ahead and drained the fluid to see how much i actually lost and it wasn't much, so I'm thinking i need a higher pressure cap. Any other suggestions?

My 2 cents on wheel/hub color. Blue anodized hubs, matching blue nipples, black Excel rims with white lettering. I think a true white hub with black rims would look cool, but I don't think the aluminum hubs can be anodized that color... not sure about that.

Yeh that sounds nice but outta my price range went with black on black and it looks sweet. I'll try and get some final pics this weekend. Has anyone had trouble with the seals beside the exhaust for the radiator?

Ok found the radiator problem.... I tightened a hose clamp up too much and it put a hole in the rad. Nothing JB weld couldn't fix. So after i got that fixed and ironed out... Got the wheels on and as grayracer said the dna wheels are cheaply made....and i will be getting excel rims and sand blasting factory hubs and powdercoating them to replace the dna's. so here is the finish product. I did ride around the farm for bout 1/2 hour last night to make sure everything's good also a pic of the fixed radImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170406.102705.jpgImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170428.394627.jpgImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170474.997560.jpgImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170538.457357.jpgImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170573.537991.jpgImageUploadedByThumper Talk1371170611.348412.jpg
