alright guys i'm putting a 2004 yz450f on my racing go kart and i have a question about the dry sump system. i already know i'm not going to risk the reliability with a wet sump system so i'm planning on using a yzf 450 oil tank i'm just wondering if the tank to needs to be elevated above the engine like on the bike?

As long as the nominal level of oil in the tank is at least as high as the oil pump itself, the outlet to the feed line can be lower.
