Sprocket spacer for O-ring chain? 99 YZ400f

My bike has a basic chain at the moment, and I have an O-ring chain to put on but will I need a sprocket spacer? Thanks.

Not unless the chain is ridiculously wide. Most of them are fine.

The difference in width is usually not enough to cause problems and you should be fine. If the sprockets are worn at all, they will cause the new chain to wear faster and most people recommend replacing the final drive as a set (both sprockets and chain). Just check the chain slack/adjustment regularly, which should be done whether the chain is new or not.
