Has anybody opted to drill the triple tree instead of paying the crazy price yamaha puts on the handle bar mounts? I have a yz450f 2007 and no aftermarket mounts were available for the bike.

I don't like that idea. No one makes rubber mounted bars for a 07 yz450?

I couldn't find any handlebar clamps besides the oem. The hole through the triple clamp is a different size than the other brands. I went ahead and drilled and this is what turned outImageUploadedByThumper Talk1365455423.093125.jpg

It raised the bars a little bit and reduced some handlebar vibration. The 10 minute test ride went fine. Ill post if anything drastic happens on a real ride.
