Saw this first thing this morning, too. Looks like they really tried to adress the complaints of the bike. I'm glad the y stuck with the general idea. Hopefully the bike is a hit this time. I have faith in those guys to get it right.

Hope it is all sorted, but personally I think they need to make the bike look completely different to make people want them. People need to see big changes not small changes that are not realy noticeable to the eye.

I goes around both sides of the motor now, instead of the tornado at the back (similar to JGR)

What's up with the bizzar cowl at the front of the bike?
Are you sure this is a 2014 YZF?
It looks more like a fantasy bike(made by someone) than that of an official Yamaha product.

Aside from that, why would Yamaha return to the old front/wrap pipe design?
I'm thinking the inverted head was a milestone for Yamaha and it's unlikely that there going to go backward on that imo.

Thanks for posting that.
Though I must say that is indeed a curious design(up front). Whatever the case, I hope it can be removed for us old schoolers :p
One thing though... if this is the rear canted engine design, I wonder how they got the pipe to wrap around each side of the engine?

I believe they mean it starts on the back and wraps all the way around the front then back like normal

I really want to get a ride on a 2010+ yz450 to see what all this drama is about. I hope this revision scares away all the bad press that is really bad for yamaha I loved what they were doing and I love how they never sacrifice their build quality and reliability even with radical designs.

I wonder if they used the 250f frame like they did for the WR. Regardless this looks a bit Mickey Mouse to me. I think I'll go get a Zook!
