Yz450f 04 cams in WR426

Guys brought myself a set of 04 yz450f cams for my 01 wr426, question is can i use both the inlet and exhaust or is it pointless, there is nothing wrong with the inlet cam (original) just thought id ask if this could be done and if there are any benefits,

also can i use a 450 cam chain to replace my stretched wr426 cam chain im guessing there may be difference in height engine wise but info appreciated,

Last but not least should i be checking my valve clearences with WR426 specs or yz450 specs?

There is no practical way to use both YZ450 cams in a 426. You could, most likely, but you'd need to use a degree wheel to time them. Reason is that the valve angle in the heads is different, as are other features of the two heads, and the result is that the timing marks on the 450 cams don't line up correctly with the 426 head when the cams are timed right.

When using the 450 cam in a 426, the intake is timed first, then used as a reference to time the exhaust cam. Read both:

As far as the intake cam goes, there's not much point in fretting over it anyway, since the difference in valve timing between a YZ and a WR is entirely in the timing of the exhaust cam; YZ and WR intake cams are the same part. YZ450 intake cams are nearly identical to YZ426 intakes, so there wouldn't be any advantage to using one.
