110 race gas is a complete waste of money!

Whether it's a waste of money or not depends on a couple of things. First, you don't need the extra octane rating for anything at all, so if that's why you want it, forget it. Octane number indicates ONLY the fuel's resistance to detonation, and all you need is 95 Research octane (~86 Motor octane, or the U.S. AKI rating of 90.5). Paying for any more than that is not beneficial.

But, most race gas is a higher quality fuel than most pump gas is, and you MIGHT get more horsepower from using it. Then it's just a matter of whether the gain you actually get is worth the difference in price.
