What is the best way to lower a 2008 subframe 5mm? I've always read articles were the pros have had their subframes lowered. but never any photos of how they did it.

in The super moto world we lower them all the time grind the welds on the lower mounts and the lugs come out, then shorten the square tube ( 15mm Max) fit the lugs back in and line them up and weld them in place.
sometimes you need to adjust the middle pipe mount hole after doing this, sometimes not. The lug goes a way into the tube. the aluminum seems to weld well.

Thanks! I'm just interested in taking out about 5mm, so I may not need to change the pipe mount much.
