There haven't been too many innovations in motorcycle trailer restraining systems over the past few years. Everyone thinks that they have it figured out with multiple tiedowns, removable wheel chocks...Etc. But a real problem with this mentaility is that the person installing the D-rings and chocks is required to drill through the floor of their precious toy hauler many many times.

Scott Corgiat at Boltiton was determined to create a new breed of motorcycle restaint system for trailers and toy haulers and he came up with the Boltiton Motorcycle Rack.

Installation
The Boltiton rack comes in many different sizes (From 67'' to 96''), and when ordering you specify the size you need to fit your trailer. My rack came dead on the size that I needed. The rack itself couldn't be easier to put together. You'll notice that on the top of each add on (Wheel chock, tie down...etc) there is a nub type handle. To get each add on onto the main bar, simple pull up on the nub, and it slides right on, and locks into a hole in the bar. Then if you want to move something, pull up on the nub and each add on slides easily and automatically locks into place.

Installing the rack into the trailer or toy hauler was just as easy. However, the rack does require you to still have 2 d-rings installed which it attaches to. The rack attaches to the d-rings via 2 J-hooks with go through the rack, and have a big nut on the top which is designed to be tightened by hand (It has gripper material on it to make this easy). From start to finish, it took me about 5 minutes to assemble and install the rack. However, I did have a tiny hitch when installing one of the J-hooks. My D-rings are not recessed, and the threads of the J-hook ended and I wasn't able to tighten the rack down on one side as much as I would've liked. This did not affect the performance of the rack, and didn't bother me enough to go get some stack washers to put underneath the top bolt of the J-hook, but I felt that it was worth noting.

The Boltiton rack also holds up to abuse quite well. All the welds are perfect, the chocks can handle being hit with motorcycles when loading, and the bar itself is very strong, as I can stand on it without causing any bending to the bar (And I am no small guy at 256 pounds). The rack is also powdercoated, and even after using it for a few trips, I have yet to scratch or chip it, it still looks brand new.

Function
I tested out the rack on the way too and from a race about an hour and and a half away, over some bumpy roads (And I mean really, really bumpy), city roads, and even the thruway. When arrived at the race I was eager to see how well the Boltiton rack had performed. I opened up my trailer and was very pleased that my bike was exactly how I had packed it the night before, even though a bunch of other things in my trailer had fallen over, or onto the floor from how bumpy the road had been.

Another benefit of the rack is that Boltiton offers a few different types of wheel chocks. They offer the normal motocross front wheel chock (It fit and held my YZ400F and little brother's YZ80) and they also offer an offset wheel chock that is pushed back 10 inches to allow more bikes in a more confined space. I was very very pleased with the offset wheel chock as I can no haul all 3 of my families bikes in my trailer at the same time, but I was not able to do this before because there was no way for me to put a wheel chock in the middle, and still have 2 tie down points.

Pros
-Very easy to assemble install (Takes around 5 minutes)
-Can be easily removed and replaced (In about 30 seconds)
-The Laser cut carbon steel which the rack is made from is exceptionally strong
-V style wheel chocks make bikes very secure
-Super adjustable, and many options to fit your needs
-Craftsmanship is second to none
-Tie downs are on both sides of the bar, so you can tie down many many motorcycles and quads to it, or bikes on one side, and miscellanious stuff like coolers to the other.

Cons
-A little on the pricy side at $379 (For the bar 2 legs, 2 wheel chocks, 3 tie downs, and the J-hooks)

The Bottom Line
The Boltiton Motorcycle Rack is a great investment for people who have toy haulers, enclosed trailers, or flat-bed trailers. I greatly prefer it over the removable wheel chocks that I had in my trailer before hand. The rack itself is awesome, and I couldn't think of one negative with it, it performs that well.

Good article on a top-shelf, stand-alone product! It is nice to see unique products tested that really make life easier. We see so many reviews on boots, gloves and grips, but not as often on equipment. I have used the boltiton restraint system for a year now and highly recommend it to everyone.

I must say, I have one and it is the best thing for my toy hauler I ever got. It installs so easy and the best thing is you can move it around all over the trailer so you can load your bikes and toys to make everything fit. I have been racing a long time and this product is a must for everyone who has a trailer. I have had many others and the problem with them is you have to drill holes in your trailer and they stay in one place. With the boltiton you don't need to drill any holes and you can move it around. I want to thank you for making such a great product that really works and is really easy to use. I think everyone should go out and buy one, you will not be disappointed!

Scott was absolutely great to deal with. He didn't even know me and agreed to do some custom features on my Boltiton set up for my toyhauler. For my particular trailer there is NOTHING else on the market to tie bikes to!

Good job Scott and nice product!
