2 of my dash lights are out now, they used to shut off then you could turn them back on by hitting them with your hand but they are out for good now, one is the headlight off/on knob, and the other is the blower speed selecter, could i replace these myslef? i am faily mechanicaly inclined. Reason i wonder if its normal is because my buds GMC does the EXACT same thing. any online walkthroughs

take the panel off ,there are little light bulbs inside there .
they generally look like this , you just twist out the holder and pull the bulb out of it .

there will generally be scews holding parts of the dashboard together and other parts will clip .
you can also check the connections on the bulbs right at the socket .
sorry i don't have more information . if you can still get them to come on by hitting them i would say you have a bad connection if you can no longer do that i would say they have burnt out .
some dashboards are simple some are complicated .

I've found that over time, the little ears lose their "spring" and don't make a good contact. The peanut bulb holders are cheap and easily available, I've gotten to the point that when I need to replace the bulbs, I just put new holders in and put in LED bulbs.
On every application where I've done this, I've never had to do it again.
