heres a link to my old post when i broke my tib/fib in October 08.
http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=727459&highlight=

I was all healed up and riding by febuary 14th 09. I had zero problems with pain or anything for the summer riding. I crashed sept 6th (nothing crazy, just a simple highside) i was in quite a bit of pain but only about half of what it felt like last time. i figured it was just a terrible sprain, so i waited a week or two for the swelling to go down. (please dont give me crap about me not going to the hospital right away, i already regret it ALOT.) after i realized it might be something more serious, i had came off my parents insurance policy so it took my parents a month or two to finally get around to getting me insurance, by then i was walking with no pain but ONLY able to put weight on my heal but not on my toes. finally got an xray today after 3 months and it it turns out i broke my tib/fib in the exact spot as before? then they told me to go to an orthopedic specialist.

Heres the Xrays from today (cameraphone quality)

they said we need to try to get the old xrays from the previous hospital (which have put us through nothing but hell since day 1) to figure out whats new calcification. Im just wondering what you think of this whole mess and what i should do Dr. Mark

thank you for your quick reply. Why didnt it heal in the first place when i was in a cast for around 3 1/2 months, got the green light from my doctor saying it was good, and have been riding for 7 months without any pain whatsoever? Also do you know any competent orthopedic doctors in the Ann Arbor area?

Also do you know any competent orthopedic doctors in the Ann Arbor area?

Dr. Robert Teitge is in Dearborn, Michigan -- just about 35 miles from Ann Arbor.
I know that Dr. Sanders holds him in the highest respect.

You will find Dr. Teitge's contact info here: http://www.oakwood.org/Doctors/RobertTeitgeMD/index.asp

Good luck!

But as I remember, there was a guy on that post last Christmas who was certain he knew more. Perhaps Avoidthedog needs to go and see him.
