lots mentioned on ADV about these. Already backordered at most retailers. Retailers already got greedy and raised the cost of them to up their profit. Still cheap compared to alternatives. People seem to like em.:ride:

Try KLR, V-Strom, and even GS forums. Lot of Dual Sport riders on heavier bikes are taking a close look at these. Also the more expensive Heidenau K60 has sparked a lot of interest. I'm going to bring a set of the Shinko 705's down to Mexico in December when I go up to Texas for a visit, can't find them locally.

Looking at that picture, the taper angle reminds me of the Kenda's where if you lean over into a turn sharply you run outta tread and lose the rear...

Yeah the Shinko does not look too round. Really don't know until you ride it though. I spent $2000USD for tires last year for two bikes, so for me it may be a trade off, I need to ride everyday and the treadlife is my priority over leaning over as if I was Rossi.
The roads in Mexico that I travel on are treacherous, mostly pavement but still full of potholes, rocks, and all kinds of sharp stuff that can slash your tires. Tourances run about $300 each here. I rather throw away a $70 Shinko 705 with 1000 miles on it than a $300 Tourance with a 1000 miles.
I'm still interested in the Heidenau K60 though. More aggressive tread pattern and I guess I am brainwashed about Euro tire quality.
