Well, after having poluted this forum with my inceasant questions, ill create something valuable.

I just installed by 440 kit, it took 6 days of on and off work (im not a mechanic and work 9-7)
Double, triple checked everything, and decided to throw in an ex-cam, to go along with my BB (already had intake and FCR and full RS-3 Yosh, which has a spark screen, not TEC insert).(tangent: it would be even more powerful without that screen, since its pretty restrictive, but knowhere near a TEC insert)
Turned on no prob..i topped it with Prestone, only to find the bike smoking a little from the rad, since there wasnt enough....luckily i found this 2-3 min later after a 10-11 hard WOT/no gas accelerations, was home within anotherminute, and topped it off (another 500ml-700ml)...hopefully no damage...(am i doomed?)..anyway, after this little scare...checked for leaks, engine seemed to run not too hot..temp light never turned on, but there was steam coming from the rad when i opened it (no boil over)..nothing insane, but there was some coolant in the overlow tank...maybe from the inital overheat

Well, 1st gear almost killed me...i could have easily looped it; no joke, it was pure power...2nd it lofts just with the throttle(if i leaned back, it would be a full wheelie, especailly coming out of a corner), no power wheelie chopping throttle crap...and it pulls like a mofo...imho more than the FCR when i first got it.
I rode it 15-20 min on the streets, giving it gas real hard and letting go..hopefully this is enough of an initial break in. Is it ok to run it only 15-20 min? i did run it HARD!! Should i change to oil now, or make another run?

All in all, very thrilled with it...(CW kit)

if i had to make a comparison..my bottom end pulls like the top end of a KTM 450...
i actually dont think my bike is that much slower...
if you wanna go for it, its worth it

If you spilled some coolant onto the rads during initial fill, the steam may be coming from the outside once the aluminum began to get hot? Change the oil @ the first 50ish miles. I think your OK from what I can tell.

true, i forgot about this possibility, i did spill some when i initially filled. It didnt boil over when i opened it...i think its fine, no power loss, perfect!!!
first 50, ill change

...In any case, the "heat" lasted only 4-5 min before i filled it up like i should.

i just got my Athena 434 installed about 10 days ago with 39 fcr,ti-yosh(no tech) hot cams and had similiar results. spilled a little antifreeze on outside of rad and it steamed a little when she got hot. with 14-47 gearing i cant keep it down in first and throttle wheelies all the way through fourth. havent got to race my buddies wr yet but i think im ready for him.
