yeah if you could put together a brief summary of the type of riding and area you plan to hit I can pass along to my riding group and see if I can drum up some interest. for example, dual sport only, night riding potential, single track or fire roads, etc.

2 Days. Day 1.....You need a plate. Day 2....No plate necessary. No fees of any kind. Show up and ride. This is not like the AA300. Hardly any road or gravel to speak of. Day 1 is 94 miles of offroad and 7 miles of pavement. Day 2 is all offroad. No singletrack. Gnarly rocks, hillclimbin', and 2trackin' both days.

Going to be living and working in Shenandoah National Park, VA for the next three months and won't be able to ride so I will be itching to ride some of that area when I'm done. A lot of time and chips to fall before that date, so I want to but who knows what will happen before then. Good luck getting things together and look forward to a ride report if I don't somehow make it.

Thanks guys. Consider this one a ride with more edge than the AA300. I hope that the date will allow folks to come. I will not be providing anything for this one. It's just a fun ride. On Day 1 you will NEED to be able to go 100 miles with no gas-stops. I feel ya....I have a stock tank on my KLX450R that gets 60 miles before Reserve. That's why I carry fuel bottles.
Day 2 is shorter and will be fun. Hop up the road via pavement, and end up at the trails. This is a completely different area than the AA300. As this thing goes on, my plans include: a band and some kinda HQ. Right now I just have the area/ride.
Wish ya could make it Janet! You and Glenn would have a ball! Johnny Africa, I'll see ya very shortly we'll sample some of this stuff. :ride:

Go with the 33oz. I carry 2 of them to get me close to 3 gallons of gas total/100 miles before Reserve. I wear mine in the back of my Ogio Flight Vest.

Currently I'm trying to figure out where to HQ from. It will likely be primitive camping, or in somebody's field (private). Any idea's on anything else?

Access to a shower is a huge plus, for all involved:smirk:

I have just recieved confirmation from a member on here at TT.
The HQ is on PRIVATE PROPERTY. That means we do whatever we want. The guy will post up here shortly. This man is responsible for showing me what I know in the area we'll be in. He is the reason this thing is happening, and me/him will be scouting this thing for even more hillclimbs and rediculously rocky terrain.
No AA300 here. This one is almost entirely offroad. Hillclimbs, 2track, crazy scenic views. More intense. More of the goods. All that shiite.
This ride is truly a ''Local's Special". No fee's, no BS, just hardcore terrain right in the backyard of WNC that most native's don't know is there. Primitive camping is coming, possible shelter's, and down-home style Southern Hospitality is what this one is about.
If you can guess who this rider is (he's here on TT), he is the man behind the awesome hook-up of Private Property for our HQ. Stay tuned. :ride:

Water is still questionable but there is a good spot on the creek to bath right off the asphalt. Will work on the shower issue.
