Ya they where pigs, Mine was done up for 1/4 mile ice drags. Pushing 190hp it would top out at 121mph. Sad when my buddies stock out of the box 700 rsx was hitting 117mph. I spent close to 10,000.00 on that sled:banghead: :banghead:

It still must have been fun though. They were king of the snow when they first came out though. I still remember my early 90's issue of "Snowmobile" magazine and the articles on that sled cool none the less! Besides that would be plenty fast for me on a sled.

Did your V-Max eat belts? I had a stock 2000 XCR800 that didn't make nearly that much power but was torquey enough that a good quality belt would only last 100 miles at the very most. I even installed custom engine torque braces but the result was always the same. And this was the result...:foul:

ya it was a blast but very hard on gas. I couldn't even go for a good ride with my buds inless there was alot of gas stations on the way :foul: As for belts I could get a couple rips down the line when I was being hard on it. If i was trying to trail ride I could get a week if lucky out of a belt, and at $100 a pop it was a $$$ pit.

for lake running and long lines there wasn't much that would touch it. The last year I had it I went through 3 clutches (third clutch and belt went through the hood), 2 motor rebuilds and a bunch of other stuff so I sold it and never been on another sled since

lol im not a real good fan of 2 strokes but they are good if u get them set up righ i think. i cant say to much because ive never had one and i only ride my friends every now and then lol. but yeah cr85expert it probly would sound pretty good.
