That is their answer to the EVS RC evolution brace. I'd rather have the evs.

I would rather take this new Leatt over the EVS. The more and more I look at it, the more and more it looks cheap (EVS RC)

Another Leatt thread.....yay:banana:
Seriously though, nice to see Leatt stepping up to the plate with a more affordable brace. Kudos to them:thumbsup:

It was only a matter of time for them to respond to EVS. Throw Alpinestars in the mix and maybe a couple of others and we'll see many high quality, affordable choices in no time.

Thats what Im thinking. Im just happy that now if I dont like my evs, I can sell it and buy this new leatt. Yea the evs looks a little cheap but so does this. Ill take cheap looks with a cheap price tag. I just want a neck helmet.

It looks identical to the original with the exception of adjustable tables. The adjustable tables require the main body of the brace be made of four parts. This brace looks like they've made it just two main parts. That means it won't work for everybody but the people that it does fit should be happy with the low price.
Now if they would add some chest and back protection.

cool.. another good option.. i would take this over the evs anyday.. although i already have a leatt brace.. (non biased opinion) i simply dont like the way the evs looks.. got the new transworld today and they had like a cut out in the evs add. just didnt make me feel comfortable.

I still have dibbs on the first EVS in the doors of my local shop. and they seem to have bumped the ship date up to the 2nd week of april, so I heard when i stopped by the shop yesterday.
hell I said I'd even pimp the pink one, but they don't make it in large:busted:

I believe all the Leatt braces are made in China anyways. So we might as well get them cheaper...

Yeah I'm glad EVS finally got on the ball and came up with theirs. It's good to see those sorry bastages at leatt squrim a little. I just wish they had come out a little sooner since I bought one of these high priced ones from leatt.

If it wasn't for "those sorry bastages" no one would be having the discussion of a neck brace and EVS wouldn't be looking at another product line to make money from, beside the bottom line of a product that protects us. Everytime I read one of these brace threads they seem to always divert into bashing Leatt.
I for one am glad Leatt came out with the brace, I didn't mind the price tag, and to get one for less than $200 I'd better damn well expect that some of the parts were molded overseas.

Exactly!
Its good that Leatt came out with this model for people who cannot afford the better models, but people have to remember that its not as adjustable as the club or sport models. I dont know about some of you, but even a slim to average size guy like myself at 6'2" had to use the full features to make adjustments for it to fit comfortably and properly. Everyone has to remember that with the Leatt Adventure and the EVS brace you pretty much have to hope it fits good right out of the box.

Would this thing fit a 5'11'' kid that weighs 140? I really like this model, and the price tag. I hope it'll fit me.

I would make sure that you go in and try it on your kid first before you order it. That is what I am going to do.

It looks like it still has the pin sizing for the neck opening adjustment and the rear spar adjustment for chest sizing. It looks like table height is the only thing that's fixed. I'd venture to guess that approx. 75% of the people that fit in a club brace would fit with this version.

I'd venture to guess it would work well. The Leatt fits skinny riders well. Barrel chested guys are the ones that have trouble with fitment.
