LOL thats an e mail, I don't post up the purse for respect to others. Honestly I would have to ask the wife. here is the way that went. she asked me, you are going to have a bigger gate this year. 'yep", then we need to increase the purse/place deal. "yep", Ok so you want me to do it/ "yep".
you see i stay out of trouble that way, she don't come out to "my" track, and I don't invade her trailer........unless there is a problem those are the rules!

Pays back to 7th place and if you get 7th it was worth your money to enter.
I wouldn't have moved up if it wasn't...

Trackman, I was going to move up anyways back then! I ran a couple A races in the late fall at Kahoka Missouri, when they used to get 42 riders on the gate! We had JR Jackson, Jackson Hiland, Halstead, Stones, Kobush, Mark Morris, Ben Heibel, etc etc. Ben Heibel went to Lorretta's one year as an ALTERNATE and went 1,1,2 in the 125A Mod class and walked awya with a CHAMPIONSHIP. That guy was so damn fast and smooth, and then started hanging out with the wrong crowd. It was 2 bad. I walked away with a 4th and and 5th in those 2 races and got the taste of money and it has ruined me ever since.
Ben Heibel layed the brick on my house 3 years ago! He has worked a few times with my son on his riding the last few years. Ben can hop on a bike without riding for months and within a couple of laps he is flyin!

Ask the Village People?
Uh oh fellas....I'm told there was another sandbagging sighting locally at the LL qualifier in the Vet class at Byron.......James Coons raced in the 30B class....Has been racing "A" for years....In fact, the ultimate sandbagging was when he raced and won the 40 C class at Lake Whitney in Texas.Who knows Jim so he can be given a hard time!!! Shame!

How does a guy sign up for a lower class and not feel like a complete tool? I just don't understand the mentality of it all.

It defeats the purpose of racing. Save yourself some money and time and just go to Walnut on a practice day and get your jollies by going out in C practice.

i will admit i have sand bagged in 2 races but not by choice... im normally a C rider, and my step dad who pays for everything though since in all my previous races i would crash out, he thought i needed a confidence boost, so he dropped me down to beginner, guess what i still crashed in the races, first race ended up getting 4th out of 15 because i crashed while in the lead, and then the last race of the year, it was 5 person beginner class and it was me a 16 yr old C rider against 25+yr old. guys who barely ride...i felt bad but it felt good at the same time, i ended up winning but i dropped the bike during the race, but had a big enough lead to keep it....
P.S. IM DONE SANDBAGGING!!!
oh and i really didnt want to sandbag, i begged to race the C class instead

dang, can't believe the effort being put into keeping the 30+ B/C class pure. Looks like this may be the region for the true B/C 30+ ers wanting to qualify for LL this year. Too bad every region doesn't have the same attitude...
trackman
04-15-2008, 06:33 PM
well my friend once we see regional results we will search all of the top 5 in those to.
then send the list to ryan.
hell nothiing better to do.
:)
Then we'll teepee their house....We don't mess around in D17!!!!

I guess I'm a sandbagger also.
Most of the time I race the 40 plus class, but sometimes I drop down to the 30 plus.

thats not sandbagging.......................thats showing the "juniors" how it's done

That brings up a good point trackman. +25, +35 and +40 are all typically $$ classes and +30 offers A and B for district points. So if you run +35 and +40 for $$ and also +30 B that is OK :excuseme: I'm assuming it would be, until your point average was high enough to bump you from 30 B to 30 A  ...oh wait, nevermind, the AMA doesn't bump anyone to A anymore :busted:

huge misconception that I just found out about a few years ago. Recieving money won't get you bumped like it did in years past. I sat in a meeting where argued about that for quite awhile. But to accept money doesn't affect classification, its not in the rule book.
but your correct, this year all B riders got a "pass" ................which is total bullcrap no matter how you slice it.
