Dude .....you need another pseudo logon ID to ...at least to talk to yourself. everone else does.
I'd suggest 'plastic pirate in orlando at mini-golf course' to you. with a mini-pickup truck.
but it is awful long.
maybe just abbreviate it to 'vomit-pirate-puttputtnuts520' with a bronze arm.

my mistake...it should be brass.

hahahah, I'm working on it. It will be something outrageous I promise

Hey Trackman, when will the advancement lists be posted? Will it be done by the AMA this year, or the district like in the past?

trackman
11-10-2007, 09:05 AM
likely both? I figure once I send all the reports to AMA for the non trackside software users here in d-17 (doing that tuesday), they will likely make a list early december?

If not I will make a list up before the first of the year. like I had to do last season.

I remeber back in 1994 at every Nuke Series. Some Dude at the top of the whooped out uphill would stand in that corner with Cherry picker all over his Pit Board. Whiners! :p It would honestly piss me off and make me ride harder yet. He use to show this to Wade Timmerman and I. Wade and I used to have great battles and push each other and win by 20 + seconds. We used to go down in the first turn and get up and come all the way back to the front! I just came off of a 80 in 93 and rode Schoolboy every now and then. So that fall I moved up to A, didn't really have a choice cause Trackman booted me, and so did D22, and D23. :naughty: I can't believe were getting the Cherry Picker on the pit board then. Now it makes me laugh but I don't think I was being a Sandbagger at all. It just helped that I had great people to ride with everyday that were faster then me. At that time I had JR Jackson in my corner training me and coaching me, and Jerry doing my motors and suspension. So I wasn't lacking confidence at all! Motocross is all a MIND SET!

LOL funny stuff right there, I just came off of a 80 in 93 and rode Schoolboy every now and then. So that fall I moved up to A, didn't really have a choice cause Trackman booted me,

If I would have known the mess creating this national system would have caused, I would have never pushed it so hard all these years......... Sometimes be careful what you ask for.........it may happen the wrong way!

I remember that Timmerman kid is was a rocket...

Trackman, I was going to move up anyways back then! I ran a couple A races in the late fall at Kahoka Missouri, when they used to get 42 riders on the gate! We had JR Jackson, Jackson Hiland, Halstead, Stones, Kobush, Mark Morris, Ben Heibel, etc etc. Ben Heibel went to Lorretta's one year as an ALTERNATE and went 1,1,2 in the 125A Mod class and walked awya with a CHAMPIONSHIP. That guy was so damn fast and smooth, and then started hanging out with the wrong crowd. It was 2 bad. I walked away with a 4th and and 5th in those 2 races and got the taste of money and it has ruined me ever since.

So your bragging about winning by 20 seconds, having great riding partners that made you faster such as Junior Jackson, having good motors and suspension, etc.........So...how does this suggest that you weren't a sandbagger? Just out of curiosity, what made you stay in a class that you won by over 20 seconds. (especially when it was only a 4-5 lap race???)

Not bragging just remembering when racing was fun. The whole 8 months that I was in the B Class. Then it becomes serious and almost turns into a job! N yes Garrett I did move up. Todd :ride:

see I knew you weren't "all" that bad. Hey I moved up in 1977, and get this, I had to ask for permission!!!! thats right in those days it was like a badge of honor to have that "red number plate with WHITE numbers not yellow. I can remember calling Bill Tuman and asking, he said "well you know once you do this you can't go back'', I said yep, he said ok. LOL i got my asss handed to me for the better part of a year......So i got an open bike. Things were "ok" then. don't regret a minute of it.

Trackman....it would be funny if you lined up for an open C race this year given all the hoopla.......now that would win a thumpy award!!!! Ha

Loren Cook and I have always said, we are A riders. That actually happens at times when they combine classes. YOu know what sucks. Is when a track puts us "old" guys behind 30B or 250 C and ya have to pass all those guys out there.......needless to say we try to "influence that" decision so we start first. nothing worse then bangin bars with someone that doesn't know how.

In fact LOL, Galesburg's State Championship they put us behind 30 B a few years ago, it cost me the win......we passed all but one B rider that day, the guy that beat me was Dennis Vittitoe by about 2.5 feet. Great race and alot of fun even with the moving obstacles.

i'm proud of the fact that i moved myself up! but...i'm not proud of the fact that i did it because of greed. I was broke when I got back into MX out of college and that was the only way that I could afford it. If I covered my costs the previous week...I was golden for the next week. Yes Graf...that would be funny if Ghard lined up for 65Sr. on his 500. Anyways...IT'S ALMOST DRY ENOUGH TO RIDE OUTDOORS. It's starting all over again and i'm freakin stoked. Sandbagger or not...we all ride and MX is KING
