Hey KevNC, great first race post. Reminds me of my first race, sounds like you did better than me. Are you running the IronMan? Need to let Tony Allen know....

That's cool Kevin, you'll do great with Mike. Will be kinda a comical team though, one being a yamaha and the other being a honda. Anyway. Good Luck!

Kevin did not know it but I allready put his name on the list with me to race. so Tony does know. Any chance we could line up a ride at Danbury before the ironman? I know the track won't be marked but It would be good to get the terrain down. BTW - this is mike robinson mike@whiteboardpartners.com. We had talked about doing this a while back.

Kev,
You did well. You 'finished' unscathed and with your sense of humor intact. Major accomplisment.
I was the starter at that race and waited until everyone had left and gave the field a cpl of minutes before I took of riding sweep. Even so, I hadn't gotten out of the grass track (!) section where you first went into the woods before I started catching riders. My only point to that being that you were doing better than you realized.
Still, the main goal (especially in the C classes) is to gain some experiance and have fun. Sounds like you did both.
Congradulations! We look forward to having you and your buddies at the races.
See everyone at the Iron man in Danbury on the 29th.

I just have to bump this thread to the top! The original post in this thread is a reason why I hang out on dirtbike boards - it is the best "first race" narrative I've ever read.
