in Northwest Events
Added by bwellard10 , --

Taking place Sep 17, 2011 through Sep 18, 2011 07:00 AM - 07:00 AM (Ranged Event)

The Dust Devils Motorcycle Club is proud to host another exciting, AMA sanctioned, Dual Sport ride through Nevada’s high desert and California’s most scenic terrain in and around the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Come join us for 2 days and 200+ fun-filled miles of the best Dual Sport Riding you’re likely to encounter anywhere! Saturday will be yet another epic ride through the forest with lots of easy roads plus some challenging single track. Sunday's new route will take you within excellent viewing distance of the National Championship Reno Air Races where you can watch the "Unlimited" class which boasts some planes with 4000 hp traveling over 500 mph less than 200 ft. off the deck!!! There will also be F-22 Raptor and Aerobatic performances. Please note that this is a non-competitive, self-guided tour on designated routes using roll charts and GPS tracks provided by DDMC. As always, a portion of the proceeds will be given to protect our sport and to local charities.

Introducing the:
"Save the Public Trails Banquet"

Join us Saturday night for a delicious banquet dinner at the Nugget. Come "Meet the Brewmaster" as the night kicks off with some outstanding beer from Knee Deep Brewing Company. Dinner includes a spectacular line-up of fine culinary treats prepared by the famous chefs of the Nugget. If you have any room left after that, hunker up to the full spread of pies, cakes, and pastries for desert. Your ticket includes one entry to the dinner and a cash bar will be available. The evening’s program includes recognition of other Dual Sport Clubs, our Sponsors and Volunteers. You can buy lots of raffle tickets to win your share of thousands of dollars of great gear and prizes at our famous "pick a winner" charity raffle with items generously donated by our sponsors. Banquet tickets for non-riders are $50.

"Save the Public Trails Poker Run"

This year we are combining all the fun! We are setting up a special Sunday-only Geo-Cache Poker Run especially for jeeps and heavier "adventure" bikes. Participants will be suppied with GPS tracks and coordinates to all the stashes. The cost will be $40 and includes a year's membership in the Blue Ribbon Coalition.

Entry cost is $95 for the two-day package which includes both day's roll charts, One T-shirt, One buffet banquet ticket and One raffle ticket. The one-day only Saturday costs $75 and includes a roll chart, One T-shirt, One buffet banquet ticket and One raffle ticket. Passengers ride free! Extra banquet tickets for rider's guests are $28.

Your bike must have a USFS approved spark arrestor and be street legal. The US Forest Service, who grants our permits, is also concerned about non-native plants being introduced into the forest, so please wash your bike well before coming to the event. A simple tech-inspection will be conducted. No Pass = No Ride, No Refund. An optional sound check for “educational” purposes will also be available to encourage low noise footprints.
