Can Riding Keep You Young?

Miscellaneous Motocross Riding Technique
Can Riding Keep You Young? Most everyone wants to stay young longer. In this new age of health, fitness and longevity people are spending billions trying to find the fountain of youth. But at the same time, it’s one of the most controversial industries on the planet. For every article that says eggs are good for you, there are just as many that say they are bad. It would literally be impossible to take half of all the supplements the industry says that you need. One of the biggest problems regarding the customers who are reading and buying into these products is that they are looking for that magic formula. They are looking for an easy way, a way in which they can continue to live and think like they are and just take a magic bullet and all will be well. Most people are smart enough to know that Mother Natural and reality don’t work that way, but they still hope and try things, spending their money and hoping for the magic product.

The fact is, in order to really make health, fitness and longevity a reality, people have to change their way of thinking and living. They have to change their life style. Deepak Chopra, world renowned author, Doctor and professor teaches that the body is an ever changing field of energy. 98% of all the cells, down to the atoms in our bodies are brand new every year. We have a new stomach lining every 5 weeks, a new liver every 6 weeks and so on with all the organs and cells in our entire body. Not only does our brains think and feel, but every cell in our body knows what the brain is thinking, our heart thinks and our stomach thinks. Where do you think the saying; "I had a gut feeling." comes from?

The medical industry is another one of the most controversial industries on the planet. One of the main reasons is because they have been using the wrong model as the foundation for health and well being. The body and mind are not composed of just individual parts, they are individual parts that all work together at the same time and are all changing at the same time. Again, the body is an every changing field of energy. What does this mean? It means many things; it means an entirely different view, a new way of thinking and looking at the body.

One of the things it means is how incredibly important it is how you think. You see, people don’t stop being active because they get old, they get old because they stop being active. They quickly fall into the routine like; "Well, I’m pushing 40 now, so it’s time to start slowing down. I’ve got to go to work (go to my job), raise the family and I have to save up for retirement." In short they start thinking old and so they become older faster.Sure, everyone is going to become old and die someday, but that doesn’t mean you have to be old on the way there. There are many, many examples of people who are far younger and more active than their years. I’m sure that you’ve heard of the more familiar ones like Jack Lalaine, Dick Clark and Dr. Cooper (heart Doctor) advocate of aerobic exercise and nutrition. But there are millions of others that you don’t know about.

The good news is that you don’t have to become a health fanatic to stay young, all you have to do is start thinking, acting and living young. And of course, some good old fashion common sense doesn't hurt either!I feel that I am a good example also. I’ll hit the big 59 in May of this year, but to me, that number just means that I was born 59 years ago. Compared to average standards, I don’t feel or think of myself as a 59 year old man. Sure, I know I’m not 20 anymore and I don’t try to be. But, I don’t try to be any certain age either. I just want to feel good and stay active. For me, it’s been motocross that has been my passion and it has helped keep me young. I have always weighed the same as I weighted when I was 20 and I still love to ride and occasionally race motocross. I’m not a health fanatic, although I do have to admit that I’ve tried that route and found it’s not the answer. But I do live a healthy lifestyle. It’s a lot easier than you might think; it’s a matter of priorities. To me, it’s easier than living a non-healthy lifestyle.So,if you’re looking for the fountain of youth like so many of us are in this great world that we live in these days, find your talent, find your passion and live life to its fullest while you still can. Don’t let negativity or self doubt slow you down.

Listen to what Arnold Schwarzenegger says;
"The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you believe 100%".

Now, I’d say that Arnold is living proof of that statement.Motocross will keep you young, that is, if it doesn't kill you first. ;) You definitely have to have all your senses firing at 100% when you start that engine. That’s one of the ways it keeps you young. You know the saying, if you don’t use it, you loose it. If you are one of the lucky ones who has already discovered the thrill of motocross, you know what I mean. If you haven’t discovered it yet, you may want to check it out and see what you've been missing. :ride:
